HVAC thermostats don’t have to be pushed to the max

I was fortunate enough to grow up in a very special environment.

As I was growing up there, of course, I didn’t pay all that close attention to how spectacular the are truly was.

Sitting here now, the first thing I would say is that my home region has just the most distinct four seasons of anywhere I have ever lived. The winter were cold but the HVAC furnace didn’t run all the time either. The summer got hot for a while that required a bit of HVAC cooling but, again, it didn’t run all the time. However, it was the spring and fall that were truly the most spectacular. It is hard to describe just how pretty those seasons are. I live quite a way for my home place now. But, I do go home to my parents house every Christmas. While I love my folks and I love that region, I would much prefer them to come to me. Instead, I have to leave my relatively warm and sunny spot to travel where the snow and cold is. It does give for a much more Christmas feel to the season. I just don’t like sweating my way through Christmas because my mother can’t ease up on the HVAC setting. That lady insists on keeping the furnace charging day and night. It has to be at least 80 degrees in her house. I don’t know how I stand it. I have to wear shorts and t-shirts just to get through it. It’s so weird to be sitting next to a Christmas tree watching it snow in my shorts and flip flops.
